Why Visit Champagne with a Chauffeur

Champagne is just 1.5 hours from Paris, and tastings are the heart of the experience. A private chauffeur solves the obvious problem: enjoying tastings without worrying about driving. The Champagne Route winds through vineyard roads where a local driver is a real asset.

Our Mercedes V-Class seats up to 7 passengers — perfect for a group of friends or family. From €280 for the day, it's often cheaper than car hire + parking + tolls + fuel.

Reims: Capital of Champagne

Start at the Notre-Dame de Reims Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece where 25 French kings were crowned. Then head to the cellars: Taittinger in ancient Gallo-Roman chalk pits, Veuve Clicquot's spectacular tour, or Pommery with its underground contemporary art.

Lunch at Le Foch (1 Michelin star) or Racine for bistronomy cuisine. Prices are much gentler than Parisian tables for equivalent quality.

Épernay: The Avenue de Champagne

The Avenue de Champagne in Épernay is nicknamed 'the richest avenue in the world': beneath its cobblestones lie millions of bottles in 110 km of caves cut into chalk. Moët & Chandon, Perrier-Jouët, and De Castellane have their houses here.

Visit at least one house for the cellar tour (booking essential in summer). Tastings range from €20 (standard) to €80+ for prestige cuvées. Allow 2-3 hours in Épernay.

The Champagne Tourist Route

Between Reims and Épernay, the Montagne de Reims offers a spectacular route through Grand Cru vineyards. Stop at Hautvillers, Dom Pérignon's village, and enjoy views over the Marne valley.

Your KAR GO chauffeur knows the best scenic roads and independent producers who welcome visitors without reservation — a more intimate experience than the big houses.
