Giverny: step inside Monet's paintings
Claude Monet lived in Giverny from 1883 to 1926 — 43 years during which he created the garden that became his favorite subject. The water garden with its Japanese bridge and water lilies inspired the famous 'Water Lilies' series displayed at the Orangerie in Paris. The Clos Normand flower garden in front of the house offers explosions of color from April to October.
Monet's house, with its bright yellow kitchen and collection of Japanese prints, reveals the artist's private world. The Musée des Impressionnismes Giverny, 200m away, complements the visit with quality temporary exhibitions. Important: the gardens are only open April 1 to November 1.

Everything about the CDG to Giverny transfer
No, the gardens are open only April 1 to November 1, 9:30am to 6pm. Outside this period, everything is closed.
Mid-May to mid-June for irises and wisteria, July-August for water lilies in full bloom. Avoid May weekends if possible — the gardens are packed.
2h is enough for the gardens and house. Add 1h for the Musée des Impressionnismes. Allow 3h total including lunch.
