Your Private Chauffeur, Not a Shared Ride

A wedding chauffeur from KAR GO is one driver and one car reserved for you alone, for the hours you book — not a vehicle shared with other passengers, and not a stretch vehicle hired for its silhouette. The cars are current-generation Mercedes: an S-Class saloon or a V-Class people carrier, both black, both discreet, both prepared before every assignment.

If what you picture is the deliberately theatrical arrival, that is a different product and it has its own page on this site — the routing links further down will take you straight to it. This page is for couples who want the car understated and the day on time: a chauffeur in a dark suit as standard, a fixed price confirmed when you book, and someone whose only job that day is your itinerary.

Choosing Your Wedding Vehicle: S-Class, V-Class, or Both

Two vehicles cover almost every wedding in Paris, and the choice is really about who is travelling and what they are wearing.

The Mercedes S-Class is the car most couples pick for the arrival. It takes up to three passengers, it photographs well from the kerb, and the rear cabin is quiet enough for the five minutes before you step out. For a bride and her father, or for the couple together after the ceremony, it is the more intimate of the two.

The Mercedes V-Class is the practical answer for everyone else, and often for the bride as well. Up to seven seats, a sliding side door you step through rather than duck into, and standing height in the cabin — which matters more than anything else when a full skirt, a train or a veil is involved. Dress bags, shoes and a change of outfit travel flat rather than folded into a boot.

Many couples book both, and for a day with more than two addresses that is what we would suggest: the S-Class dedicated to the couple, a V-Class shadowing it with the bridal party, both drivers working from the same schedule and in contact with each other. Tell us how many people need to move, and between which addresses, and we will tell you which combination actually fits.

Coordinating Your Wedding Day Timeline

A Paris wedding is rarely a single journey. There is the mairie for the civil ceremony, often a church or a second venue afterwards, then the reception — and between them a city that has no interest in what time your photographer wants to be at the next address.

We build the day backwards from the ceremony time. You give us the addresses and the hours they are booked for; we work out realistic driving time between each one, add a margin for the parts that always run long — the photographs on the steps, the guests who need herding into cars — and position the vehicle early rather than exactly on time. Your driver is at the kerb before you need them, not still en route.

On the day itself the schedule is held by a person, not by a form. Your chauffeur has the running order, stays reachable, and adjusts the later pickups when the earlier ones slip, which they usually do. If the ceremony overruns by twenty minutes, the reception pickup moves by twenty minutes; nobody has to renegotiate a booking or hunt for a phone number while holding a bouquet.

Photo Stops at Paris's Most Iconic Landmarks

Most couples want an hour somewhere between the ceremony and the reception, and Paris rewards planning that hour rather than improvising it.

The Trocadéro terrace gives the classic full view of the Eiffel Tower across the river; it is at its most crowded in the middle of the day, while early morning and the last hour before sunset are calmer and light far better. Pont Alexandre III is the other reliable stop — the lamps and gilded figures hold up in almost any weather, and the quays below offer shelter if it rains. The gardens of the Palais-Royal, the Pont de Bir-Hakeim and the bridges around the Île de la Cité are the usual alternatives when the obvious spots are busy.

Tell us which stops your photographer has in mind and we will build them into the route with the driving time between them costed in, rather than borrowed from the reception. Your chauffeur waits with the car while you shoot, keeps the bags and the spare shoes, and moves to a legal waiting spot nearby when the kerb is not one.

Beyond the Ceremony: Rehearsal Dinners, Celebrations and Honeymoon Departures

The wedding day is usually the middle of the story rather than the whole of it. The evening before, guests arriving from abroad have to be moved from their hotels to the rehearsal dinner and back, often in two or three shifts — a V-Class does that in fewer trips than a taxi rank will.

Celebrations in the run-up, an evening out with friends or a dinner across the city, are simplest to book as hourly service: the car and driver stay at your disposal instead of each leg being priced separately. The minimum is two hours, 40 km are included per hour, and the V-Class is €90 per hour; the S-Class can be booked by the hour as well, at the rate shown when you select it.

The morning after, the honeymoon departure is an ordinary airport transfer and is priced as one — a fixed fare to Charles de Gaulle or Orly, flight tracking, and help with luggage that has quietly doubled since you arrived. Book it at the same time as the wedding cars so the whole sequence sits under one reservation and one point of contact.

Frequently Asked Questions

Vehicles, chauffeur attire, timings that slip, booking ahead and venues beyond central Paris.

Decoration is arranged case by case rather than offered as a fixed package. Tell us at the time of booking what you have in mind — ribbons, a floral piece prepared by your florist, something your wedding planner is already organising — and we will confirm what is workable on the vehicle you have chosen and coordinate directly with them if that is simpler. Nothing is fitted to the car without your agreement.

Yes. A dark suit is the standard on every KAR GO booking, weddings included, so it does not have to be requested separately. If your ceremony has a particular dress code you would like the driver to match, mention it when you book and we will tell you what is possible.

It usually does, and the booking is built to absorb it. You reserve the vehicle for a block of hours rather than for a list of fixed departure times, so a ceremony that overruns simply pushes everything behind it back. Your driver is reachable throughout and re-times the remaining stops without anyone having to call an office. If a delay is long enough to eat into the hours you reserved, the driver tells you while there is still time to decide, not afterwards.

As soon as your venues and ceremony time are settled. A single vehicle can often be arranged at shorter notice, but Saturdays between May and September are the busiest dates of the year in Paris, so a specific vehicle — or two moving together — is easier to hold the earlier you ask. Send us your date and we will tell you what is available.

Yes — we cover Paris and the wider Île-de-France region, including reception venues and châteaux in the area around Versailles. For anywhere further out, send us the addresses and the timings and we will quote the journey rather than apply a standard rate. Whatever the distance, the price is fixed and confirmed when you book, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup.
